SYMPOSIA
- Symposia/workshops will have three to five presenters
- The time for the presentation of each symposium is expected to be 60 minutes. (50 minutes for all individual presentations combined, and 10 minutes for discussion)
- Symposia abstracts will be submitted by individual authors. For example,if three authors Drs X, Y and Z are submitting a symposium titled “Psychedelics as a treatment modality for addictive disorders”. Author X will make a submission with the ‘Symposium title’ being “Psychedelics as a treatment modality for addictive disorders” and their own presentations’ title being “Psilocybin in treatment of Alcohol use disorder”. Similarly, authors Y and Z will make their own submissions. We will link these three submissions using the title of the symposium which is common among these three publications.
- The abstract must have the following headings:
- Title of Symposium
- Title of Presentation(Word limit 50)
- Abstract Body (Word limit 300)
- Objectives of the presentation.
- Background.
- Results
- Description of the presentation.
THESIS AWARDS
- Candidates who have already submitted their own thesis (for MD/DM/PhD courses) to any recognized institution/university in India are eligible to participate.
- The thesis should have been conducted in the area of addiction psychiatry and should have been submitted between 1 July 2020 and 30 June 2023.
- The thesis should have been conducted only for the following courses: MD (Psychiatry); DM (Addiction Psychiatry); DNB (Psychiatry) or a dissertation which was done as part of a course for example Postdoctoral fellowship, PhD etc.
- The paper may be based upon the entire thesis or a part thereof.
- Only the shortlisted papers will be included for presentation. Rest may be considered for a free paper (oral) presentation.
- The time for the presentation will be 15 minutes.
- The thesis candidate needs to be the first author of the paper and the presenter of the paper.
- The panel of judges will evaluate only the PAPER (which is based upon the thesis) and the PRESENTATION of the paper during the conference, but not the thesis itself. Copy of the thesis will be used only for the purpose of confirming that the paper being presented is based upon the submitted thesis.
- Copyright of the papers submitted for this award shall continue to be with the authors. Thus the papers presented at the conference may have already been presented or published elsewhere and/or can be presented or published in any forum in the future.
- The authors are requested to send the full thesis via email at addicon2023@gmail.com.
- The paper must be in the following format:
