Dear Friends and colleagues,

The Addiction Psychiatry Society of India (APSI) is thrilled to invite you all to ADDICON 2023, the Annual National Conference of APSI to be held in the beautiful pink city, Jaipur, Rajasthan. ADDICON 2023 promises to be an exciting academic event for sharing knowledge, skills and viewpoints for all the mental health professionals.

The discipline of Addiction Psychiatry has evolved enormously over the last few years, especially in India. There have been newer developments in almost all the aspects of addiction psychiatry: the basic neurosciences and behavioural sciences; the clinical practice involving pharmacotherapy, psychosocial approaches, and novel technologies like brain stimulation; as well as the policies and programs which govern the systems for delivery of addiction related services. At the same time, the challenges remain. People Who Use Drugs as well as People Who care for People Who Use Drugs continue to be stigmatized. We, the Addiction Psychiatry professionals from India, need fora like ADDICON 2023 which provide an opportunity to learn from the stalwarts and exchange notes with the colleagues.

ADDICON 2023 offers an unforgettable three-day conference. The carefully curated and created rich scientific program includes invited lectures, symposia, workshops, free papers, and posters. For our younger professional colleagues, there are exciting opportunities in the form of quizzes, and thesis award paper sessions. The opportunity for informal networking and interaction with experts and professionals from across the country, is the icing on the cake. The organizing committee – a very able, industrious, and determined team from Jaipur – has assured that no stone shall be left unturned in putting together a memorable academic extravaganza for all of us.

We are privileged to invite you to the 3rd Annual National Conference of the Addiction Psychiatry Society of India being held at the Sawai Man Singh medical college, Jaipur, ‘The Pink City’. Rajasthan has a tradition of being a gracious host to one and all. We are known for our warm hospitality, rich culture and heritage which has attracted tourists since generations.

We also have a tradition of organizing conferences and CMEs which present a blend of scientific program and the hospitality of Rajasthan. We envisage to bring you an experience with rich academic discussions along with insightful social interactions. ADDICON 2023 will be an event where professionals across the spectrum will learn from each other and make bonds to serve as a peer group for bringing Addiction Psychiatry to the forefront.
